About Me

I am a highly motivated professional with over 20 years of geospatial experience in Private Industry, Academics, Non Profits and Government.

I have been fortunate enough over the past 20 years to work in most of the disciplines in geomatics (GIS, Remote Sensing, Cartography, LIDAR and GPS Surveying), that included a unique opportunity for several years to travel all across North and Central America. This combination of traveling to new places and working with geographic information has allowed me to better appreciate the vast geography of Canada.

My diverse background obtained through a combination of experiences from data acquisition, data creation, analysis, problem solving, customer service, technical writing, project management, program development, supervising and networking has fueled my geomatics career over the years and inspires me to continue to be highly involved the industry, bringing other professionals together, helping to share Canadian Geomatics information while letting the world that Canada is still a Geomatics / Geospatial leader.

How it started…

Originally, I created my geomatics website as an online portfolio to help my career while studying Applied Geomatics Research at the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS) in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia but since then it has become a place on the web where I continue share information about geospatial resources, maps, literature, examples, photos and other interesting information that I have learned from my work experience or during some of my travels.

Feel free to contact me with anything related to my website.
